Y10 Seascape Assessment Planning

Over half term you should be completing any outstanding work (see chart below) and complete planning for your Seascape Assessment -you should use artists that you have studied in class or found yourself, and use photos from our trips as source materials. The work can be in any media and size should be A3 - A1.

You are required to complete 2xA3 or 4xA4 pages of studies/plans and be ready to start your work on Wednesday 6th Nov.  Your assessment will be completed over the next five lessons - you will not be allowed the use of a phone/computer (unless you are completing a photographic response for this project) - so please print up any photographic sources. You will have an opportunity to discuss your plans with me/ stretch paper/ and sketch out your outcome onto paper or canvas during the Monday lesson.

Y9 & Y10 Homework - Gallery Visit open until June 29th

Dear Y9 and Y10s Homework Due - July 1st

As the conclusion (Y10) or start (Y9) of your on the Sea,  I would like you to visit the exhibition Bearings at the Quay Arts in Newport to see the work of Caroline Underwood. The exhibition is on until June 29th. You are expected to take photos whilst you are there and create a piece of art work inspired by the exhibition - any size and any material - this might be a drawing that you make whilst at the exhibition or a large painting on A1 paper! You are expected to fill between 2 - 4 pages in your A4 Sketchbook or 1-2 page in an A3.

Take a look at the video - you can use this to write about her work in your sketchbook.

Y10 Easter Fish Homework and Catch up

Complete outstanding fish homework and missing classwork. Use my Fish powerpoint to help with any missing work.

We will complete any sewing and screen printing in lesson on Friday or the first week after Easter.  Please ensure that you have planned some ideas for your final outcome based on Fish.  It might be a screen print on fabric which you then machine embroider into. Or you might produce a painting from photos you have taken at a fishmongers or aquarium.
